Samuels  was charged  by the ICC on behalf of the ECB back in 2021. He was found guilty after he exercised his right to a hearing before an independent anti-corruption tribunal. The two time T20 World Cup winner has been found guilty of failing to disclose to the designated anti-corruption official about the receipt of a gift/payment that was given under circumstances that could bring him or the sport into disrepute, for failing to disclose the receipt of hospitality of a value of USD 750 or more, for not cooperating with the investigation and obstructing or delaying it by concealing relevant information. Finn suffered a knee injury in 2023 and hasn't played a game in red-ball cricket in over a year. "Today I am retiring from all forms of cricket with immediate effect," Finn said in a statement. "I have been fighting a battle with my body for the last 12 months and have admitted defeat to it. Shakib to lead Bangladesh at Asia Cup and World Cup

"We have appointed Shakib as the captain for Asia Cup and World Cup. The World Cup and Asia Cup squad will be announced tomorrow. The selectors will pick a squad of 17 members," Nazmul told reporters at his house on Friday. The post went vacant after Tamim Iqbal decided to  step down  from captaincy on August 3. Cricbuzz had previously reported that Shakib was expected to become captain across all three formats at least till the World Cup even though Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan  remained in contention  for the ODI leadership role. Netherlands to have pre-World Cup camp in Alur

The Netherlands team is scheduled to have a 12-day camp near Bengaluru in September. The pre-World Cup gathering of the Dutch men, the surprise qualifiers for the championship, has been organized by the Netherlands Cricket and the Karnataka State Cricket Association. The camp will take place from September 19 to October 1 at the Alur facility of the KSCA. A KSCA official confirmed the development to Cricbuzz after a couple of Dutch officials informed Cricbuzz about the plan. There are plans to extend the camp by a couple of weeks, possibly from the first week of September, but a confirmation on this has not yet been obtained. The Scot Edwards-led side qualified for the October 5-November 19 World Cup against many odds and ahead of stronger full member teams like the West Indies and Zimbabwe. This will be the second stint in the role for the 53-year-old who previously held the position between 2016 and 2019. During his reign, Pakistan managed to get to no.1 in the Test rankings apart from winning the Champions Trophy title in 2017. The immediate task at hand for Inzamam will be the upcoming bilateral series  against Afghanistan  to be played in Sri Lanka from August 22 followed by the Asia Cup.
